Capitec is offering financial support and career development opportunities for students enrolled in full-time quantitative studies for the 2027 academic year. This bursary is designed to empower the next generation of quantitative professionals with both financial aid and essential workplace skills.

Eligible Fields of Study
Applicants must be majoring or specializing in one of the following fields (NQF-7 or higher):
- Mathematics: Pure or Applied Mathematics, Mathematical Sciences.
- Statistics: Statistical Sciences, Mathematical Statistics.
- Actuarial Sciences: Actuarial Science, Statistics and Actuarial Science.
- Combined Fields: Computer Science, Data Science, Quantitative Finance, Econometrics.
Who Can Apply?
- South African citizens aged 28 or younger (as of Dec 31, 2026).
- Current 2026 Matric students or registered full-time tertiary students.
- Minimum 65% academic average in Grade 12 or Tertiary studies.
Key Obligations
Recipients must commit to a work-back obligation at Capitec for every year of funding provided. Bursaries are renewed annually based on academic performance and engagement.
Required Documents
- Certified copy of SA ID (Applicant and Parent/Guardian).
- Proof of Household Income.
- Academic transcripts/reports (Grade 11, Matric, or Tertiary).
- Proof of NSFAS/Bursary status.
